Moscow Re won the award for “the Best Reinsurance Company” at the National Insurance Awards “Golden Salamandra”
The Ceremony took place on April 22nd 2005 in the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow. The Award was presented to the President of Moscow Re, Gregory Fidelman.
“Any work, be it by a miner or an insurer, brings joy only if you are satisfied with the results. However, it is especially pleasant when you are acknowledged by your colleagues. Our nomination as “the Best Reinsurance Company” is an excellent display of Moscow Re’s successful development. Last year Moscow Re significantly increased its capitalization and financial indicators, and strengthened its position in the international markets by obtaining an international rating “B” from Standard & Poor’s. I would like to highlight that we are the only Russian reinsurance company with the international rating.
Being the Best is not only public respect but also a huge responsibility. We realize this, and are setting ourselves ambitious plans for the future.
It is important to emphasize that Moscow Re’s victory is the victory of all its employees who are united by a common cause and so I would like to thank each employee and congratulate everyone on our mutual victory”, - commented Gregory Fidelman, president of Moscow Re.
